What to Expect as the Months Unfold -To-do List

Once you’re part of the tribe, you’ll be invited to a complimentary consultation with me, your travel coordinator and host. This is your chance to share your preferences and expectations, ask questions, and for us to get to know one another.

2. Secure Your Spot Flight and Accommodation – (February-April)

To kickstart the adventure, a deposit is required to secure your booking and take advantage of group rates. By committing early, you’ll gain access to the best hotel accommodations and flight deals. Plus, booking as a group gives us more leverage to negotiate special rates and perks for our travelers.

Payment for carnival costumes, fete tickets, guided tours, transportation, and the travel coordinator fee becomes due later. During a later phone consultation, I’ll customize your itinerary and provide a clear breakdown of costs.

3. Set up a Payment Plan optional (February-March)

We understand that budgeting for your trip is important. That’s why we offer layaway-style payment plans to suit your needs. Your monthly or bi-monthly contributions are securely held in an escrow account, with detailed statements provided monthly, offering transparency and security throughout the process.

4. Connect with the Community (April-May)

Stay connected with our community through WhatsApp, social media, and Zoom. These calls may occur weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly online, depending on the preference of the group, though attending an initial call is highly encouraged. These sessions serve as an opportunity to connect, share excitement, and build camaraderie before the journey begins. Plus my go-to for providing insider tips, updates, and spicy carnival news.

5. Band Launch & Travel Services Fee Due (June/July)

Band launches typically occur in June and July, showcasing a variety of costumes centered around specific themes. Popular bands operate on a first-come, first-served basis, making it crucial to secure costumes early. I’ll keep you informed about launch dates, pricing, band registration, package details, and deadlines to help you secure your preferred costume.

At this stage, it’s important to note that 50% of my travel coordination fee becomes due. This fee covers the essential services I provide and ensures the dedicated continuation of my time and expertise in curating the perfect trip for you, including detailed itinerary planning and logistical support.

While there are many bands to choose from, for practical reasons, I’ll limit group participation to 4 or 5 bands. This makes transportation more manageable and enhances the camaraderie and shared experience among the group.

6. Meeting For Customization (June/July-September)

After the band launch, one-on-one and group meetings pick up momentum. This is the time when you’ll select your costume, packages, and tours, and customize your carnival experience. It’s an important phase where we fine-tune the details.

7. Ferry and Local Flight Payment Due (July-September)

Additional payments for inter-island transportation either by air or ferry become payable during this period.

8. Select your Fete (October-December)

As the festivities draw near, I’ll provide you with an updated list of fetes. Together, we’ll navigate through the options via one-on-one or group calls, ensuring your selections align with your preferences. There are numerous fetes leading up to Carnival Monday and Tuesday with payment possibly required at this stage depending on the particular fete.

9. Final Balance Due (October-December)

During this period, the remaining balance for your all-inclusive concierge service is due, ensuring that all arrangements for your carnival experience are settled.

10. Stay Connected with Regular Updates (October-December)

In the remaining weeks leading up to Carnival, our communication continues with regular updates, music releases, and insider news. With ongoing calls via our WhatsApp group and social media, you’ll have more than enough opportunities to ask me questions and engage with fellow travelers.

11. Master the moves-Online Soca Classes (December-February)

Get into the Carnival spirit with our online Soca classes. Led by yours truly, these fun-filled sessions will have you mastering the moves and grooves of Carnival in no time. It’s the perfect way to prep your body and mind for the festivities ahead!

12. Arrival and Departure Schedule (March 2025)

Arrive at Piarco International Airport 8-9 days before Carnival. Upon arrival, transportation will take you to your hotel for relaxation and preparation for the week ahead. Here’s an overview of your Carnival vacation itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Trinidad (usually in the evening) – Transfer to the hotel
Day 2: Attend Fete Choice 1
Day 3: Attend Fete Choice 2
Day 4: Participate in Carnival Monday Masquerade Band or Jouvert
Day 5: Experience Carnival Tuesday
Day 6: Optional relaxation day at Maracas Beach
Day 7: Explore Tobago on Tour 1
Day 8: Continue Tobago exploration with Tour 2
Day 9: Departure
